Autopoiesis Allowed by Mutual Immanence of Quadratic Aspects

The Greek word "Poiein" is at the root of the word "Produce" (as in 'production' or 'to produce'). Autopoiesis would be "self-production." Maturana refers to an internal information-order that self-reproduces in living systems. It's like the inner world of the outer world of living systems or, succinctly, I would say, like the 'mind in systems.' It's still a right hand, externally observable affair but somehow consistent with an inner life that is not just mechanical. It is also describable by making the integral connection between intangible mental objects and tangible, external objects that show patterns of behavior. We sense the internal information-order as we also have one.

I think that -if there are degrees of freedom in changing the forms expressing the autopoietic self production- we can validly assert that there can also be creativity in autopoiesis. (The word 'poetry' also relates to Poiein). Creativity is needed to adapt to a changing environment and to maintain the integrity of the holon. There's a certain self absorption or continuous self reference to the internal information codes in this adaptive and creative process and I think that in this self referencing there's an openness or dialogue with the rest of the Kosmos through what Hofstadter would call a 'strange loop.' The infinite recursion of an incomplete information-order or code calls forth external information to modify the code (and its production of forms) in a creative way. Thus, in this absorption into self, mutual immanence allows to create a WE dialogue- exchange space with other holons in the Kosmos.

I think that the quadratic styles of the explicit Kosmos (see the quadrants of Integral Theory) are distinct but also inside each other. I think that (to behave in a dual mode) the quadrants are distinct and partially independent and inter dependent but (due to their non dual roots) they are also mutually immanent. Because of being mutually immanent there are aspects of right hand quadrants in left hand quadrants and vice versa.

Spirit apparently expresses with fixed arising simultaneous tetra patterns but (due to mutual immanence) also controls with freedom that tetra arising.
